Southland Shelters
The list below includes only those shelters in Los Angeles and
Orange Counties that do spay/neuter of rabbits prior to adoption. Mandatory
spay/neuter of shelter rabbits means the cycle of overpopulation is not
continued by the kind act of adopting a needy rabbit. If all shelters did
spay/neuter of rabbits prior to adoption, there would be fewer unwanted rabbits
and less euthanasia in all shelters.
